21 June: Flying Out
Decided to go to Arizona for our summer vacation this year. The boys hadn't flown on a commercial plane yet, and Grand Canyon was on our bucket list. It didn't dawn on me that this was the absolute worst time to visit a desert, but off we went...

Walking with the boys on their first trip through an airport terminal was cool - everything was a wonder. "Look, a Starbucks!" Their first trip had a bit of everything - crying and horribly coughing girls in the row behind us, turbulence over the rockies...
Sam got the window, but Sean stepped on the plane first... |
We landed a little after 7 and got to the Mavoides by 8. The kids started playing immediately, including a nice night swim in the pool.
